Section 7 Recruitment Policy (HR Manual Continued)



The aim of Recruitment and selection Policy of HRMPK is to carefully attract and select potential employees possessing the relevant skills, qualifications and attributes for contributing significantly towards the achievement of HRMPK objectives.

Section 7.01 Objectives

All HODs and HR Department will jointly manage the Recruitment and Selection process. The objective is to achieve a mutually agreed decision that guarantees efficient and effective match between human resources of the right calibre and aptitude and the organization/departmental requirements in order to ensure achieving the overall strategic objectives of HRMPK.

The recruitment and selection process will ensure that:

1)         Proper Advertisement internally or externally depending upon the requirements.
2)         Fair and transparent Recruitment & selection processes.
3)         Professional Approved by set standards.
4)         Equality opportunity Employer.
5)         Recruitment is seen as a key public relations exercise.

Section 7.02 General Principles

To meet the above objectives, the following principles will be adhered through different stages of Recruitment and Selection Process:

1)         HRMPK will recruit and select personnel without any consideration for religion, ethnicity, race, sex, colour or any other differentiating criteria and identification beyond human control.
2)         All employees involved during various stages of the recruitment and selection of staff are expected to appreciate and adhere to the contents of this policy.
3)         Any panel member involved in the recruitment process must withdraw his or her panel membership in case he/she has a relationship of any nature with one or more candidates being processed for selection.
4)         Processing Interview: Depending upon the nature of the organization and their work flow.

Section 7.03 Vacancy

A job vacancy may occur due to any of the following reasons:

1)         Replacements
2)         Promotion or Demotion
3)         Expansion
4)         An increase in workload
5)         A requirement for new skills
6)         A change in Organizational/Departmental Structure
7)         Annual Human Resource planning
