Section 9.01 Orientation Section / Introduction (HR Manual Continued)

Orientation program gets new employees to a good start and expeditiously settle him/her down in the organization. It familiarize new employee to the organization, their job and the work unit and the code of ethics. It, therefore, provides new employee with an understanding how job performance contribute to the success of the organization and how the services of the organization can contribute to the society.

Section 9.02 Objective

The objective of the program is to familiarize the newly inducted employee with the organization objective, structure, rules and regulation, nature of the job and the environment. To ensure timely adjustment of employee, an effective orientation program should be characterized by organizational endeavor, careful planning, follow up and evaluation.

Section 9.03 Organizational Endeavor

The HR shall be primarily responsible for coordinating orientation activities and providing the new employee with information about condition of employment, perks, benefits and other areas that do not fall in the supervisor’s domain. The supervisor, on the other hand, would be responsible for orienting the employees about his job responsibilities, work group, job requirements and departmental structure.
