Section 9.04 Employee Orientation Plan (HR Manual Continued)




The Orientation Plan is normally arranged and planed in following two phases as under.


1.            Brief Orientation by HR
2.            Orientation by concerned department

Brief Orientation

The brief orientation for newly inducted employees will be conducted by HR department. This orientation phase will include the following:

1. Job Description


Every Employee will be handed over with his or her Job description to have a clear idea about the organizations expectation from his performance.

2. Introduction to Code of conduct

Employee will be briefed and handed over organization’s code of conduct. Acknowledgement of employee regarding their understanding and receipt of code of conduct will also be obtained.

3. HRMPK Identity Card

Employee will be handed over the employee Identity Card. He / She will also be apprised of attendance procedure.

4. Seating Arrangement & Other facilities

HR Manager will be responsible for arrangement of new incumbent’s office space, laptop/desktop, cellular/wireless etc. and all other official facilities.

Orientation by Department Supervisor

The employee’s concerned department will conduct the second phase of orientation plan. The detailed points to be covered and check list to be covered by the department is attached as Appendix B and C to this section.

Section 9.05 Follow up and Evaluation

Upon completion of orientation program supervisor and employee should sign the checklist. Human Resource Department should follow up the effectiveness of orientation program at the end of 3 months and subsequently after one year. The effectiveness can be conducted through interviews, unsigned questionnaires, surveys, and discussion groups.
